ISOC Québec receives a grant to strengthen Québec cultural content

ISOC Québec is proud to announce that its project « CLIC Québec » has just been selected from over 100 projects to receive funding under the Internet Society‘s Beyond The Net grant program.

The CLIC Québec project, which will be carried out over a two-year period between September 2017 and September 2019, aims to raise awareness among policy makers and enhance the digital skills of Québec’s cultural industries stakeholders in order to increase marketing, promotion, distribution, discoverability and online accessibility of Québec works and contents both in Québec and internationally.

This project includes a research component which will consist in developing a measure of the discoverability of French-language content from Québec on digital platforms. This part of the project will be carried out in collaboration with the Observatoire des réseaux et interconnexions de la société numérique (ORISON) and the Centre d’études sur l’intégration et la mondialisation (CEIM) from Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM).
