The North American Francophone School of Internet Governance (NAFSIG) is a capacity-building workshop focused on teaching the development and application of principles, standards, rules, policies, procedures and organizations. common decisions that shape the evolution and use of the Internet.

Inspired by the North American School of Internet Governance, NAFSIG brings in local and international speakers specially present in Montreal. The School also aims to empower and equip the next generation of Internet leaders in the Francophone world while allowing constant exchange with the Anglophone community.

The North American Francophone School of Internet Governance (NAFSIG) was held for the first time on November 1, 2019 in Montreal in the premises of the John Molson School of Business, prior to the ICANN66 public forum meeting and ATLAS III (At-Large III Summit).

A group of 23 “students” was selected to participate before receiving a certificate recognizing the completion of the program during a joint reception with the participants of the Anglophone School (NASIG).
